Cerritos College Men’s Cross Country (2016): Came in 95th place at the CCCAA State Championships with a time of 21:58.2 after his time of 22:18.0 put him in 78th place at the Southern California Championships… Posted a time of 21:54.0 to finish in 39th place at the South Coast Conference Championships, while his time of 27:49.2 aver the 8K course at the St. Joseph’s (NY) Invitational earned him a 11th place finish… Also came in 11th place at the San Bernardino Valley Invitational with a time of 21:06.67 and took 22nd place with a time of 22:00.6 at the Central Park Classic… Was clocked in 22:16.8 for 68th place at the SoCal Preview Meet, while he came in 43rd place with a time of 22:06.5 at the Fresno Invitational… Posted a 40th place time of 20:49.0 at the Cal Baptist Invitational…..

Cerritos College Men’s Track & Field (2017): Qualified for the Southern California Prelims in the 1500 meters (4:13.86) after placing eighth at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:00.77) during the season…..

Gardena HS: Was a two-time 2nd Team All-Area, 2nd Team All-LA City, All-Marine League selection and team Most Valuable Player, while qualifying for the state championships as a senior… Finished second in the LA City Championships and 64th place at the state championships… Posted a personal best time of 15:11… As a junior, he took 153rd place at the state championships… While on the track and field team, he was named 1st Team All-Area and all-league as a senior… Won the league championship in the 800 meters (1:57.31) and 3200 meters (9:40.83) and placed second at the LA City Championships in the 800 meters, while taking 25th place at the state championships… Captured the league championship in the 800 meters, 1600 meters (4:28.5) and 3200 meters and came in fourth place at the LA City championships in the 800 meters his junior year… Placed first in the 1600 meters as a sophomore and came in third place as a freshman… Spent three years on the cross country team and four seasons on the track and field team…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when he won his league championships in track and field and cross country, as well as turning in his personal best times… Would like to transfer to any Division I school… Aspires to be either a coach or physical therapist… His brother Hector (20) plays soccer at El Camino College… Hobbies include hanging out with friends… Nicknamed “Cris”… Is the son of Noelia Balcazar… Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico on July 24, 1998…..
