For the second meet in a row, the Cerritos College men's cross country team finished in fourth place at their meet. On Saturday, the Falcons compiled 143 team points at the Fresno Invitational, which is the same location for this year's CCCAA State Championship meet. While running at Woodward Park, the team trailed only Mt. San Antonio (26 team points), Glendale (63 points) and Hartnell (79 points) out of the 16 schools that competed. Next Friday, Cerritos will run the SoCal Preview Meet, which will take place at Central Park in Santa Clarita.

Leading the way for the team was freshman Luis Munoz (Downey HS), who took 21st place overall out of the 162 entries with a time of 21:38.8. He was part of a tight pack of four runners that finished within two seconds of each other. Next up for the Falcons was freshman Miguel Lopez (Downey HS), whose time of 21:48.2 was on pace with Munoz and put him in 28th place overall. Also running strong races were the trio of sophomore Cristhian Macias (Gardena HS), freshman Adrian Casas (Gahr HS) and freshman Daniel Ramos (Warren HS), who all crossed the finish line within six seconds of each other. Macias (38th place), Casas (43rd place) and Ramos (45th place) helped Cerritos finish in the top four as a team.
