Downey HS: Placed fourth at the league championships as a senior on the cross country team… Was voted their Most Improved Runner and was their captain… Posted a personal best time of 15:43 over a 5K course… While on the track and field team, he was named their Best Distance Runner and captain… Specialized in the 1500 meters (4:09.0) and 3000 meters (9:11.0)… Spent three seasons on the cross country and track and field teams…..
