Cerritos College Women’s Cross Country (2023): Posted a time of 21:41.3 to come in 111th place at the 3C2A State Championships, while she came in 83rd place at the Southern California Championships in 21:42.2… Placed 25th at the South Coast Conference Championships with a time of 21:56.8 and came in 180th place at the Bronco Invitational in a time of 27:46.9 over a 6K course… At the San Diego Mesa Invitational, her time of 23:36.5 put her in 74th place, while she was clocked in 23:29.7 at the Golden West Invitational for 45th place… Turned in a time of 22:24.7 at the SoCal Prelims, which put her in 71st place, with a 49th place result at the Oxnard Invitational in a time of 22:48.9… Opened the season at the Fresno Invitational in 62nd place with a time of 23:48.0…..

Firebaugh HS: While on the track and field team, she set the school record in the 1600 meters (6:30.6), which put her in sixth place at the Suburban League Championships… Also competed in the 400 meters (1:10), 300-meter hurdles (1:13.48) and 800 meters (3:05.1)… Spent three seasons on the track and field team…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when she set the school record in the 1600 meters and her performance at the Suburban League Prelims as a senior… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… Aspires to be an art teacher… Her father played baseball for Cerritos in 1997 and 1999, while her mom was on the track and field and tennis teams at Lynwood High… Hobbies include drawing and playing the guitar… Is the daughter of Peter Alvarez and Darlene Matthews-Dean… Born in Bellflower, CA on December 26, 2003…..
