One of the most improved players on the team in 2024, sophomore Lillianna Peterson (California HS) earned 2nd Team All-South Coast Conference. Peterson parlayed her season into multiple inquiries from colleges before deciding to sign with NCAA Division II Dominican University of California, which is located in San Ramon.

Peterson was one of the key reasons the Falcons were able to win a share of the South Coast Conference title and advance to the 3C2A State Tournament for the first time since 1995. She was fifth on the team with 174 kills and had a .266 hitting percentage. She also added 29 blocks, 29 digs and provided an instant impact to the team's success whenever she entered a match.

She turned in a season-high 16 kills against El Camino College and had 14 kills in their other match-up. Peterson was one of the keys to the Falcons five-set win over Palomar College with her 11 kills and just one error, as well as her 10 kills in the opening round playoff win over Grossmont College.

Peterson was a role player as a freshman and appeared in just 15 matches and finished with 74 kills, while hitting .216 and had just five blocks. She worked her way into a rotation that excelled when she was on the court and was always a viable hitting option.

She will be joining a Penguins team that went 6-20 last season and finished in 12th place in the PAC West Conference. Peterson will be looked upon to step into a contributing role, as the team looks to replace three hitters.

Peterson is the second Falcon to sign with a school and play primarily indoor, as she joins All-American Sydney May, who signed with Cal Poly Pomona. Three other players have committed to La Sierra University to play just beach volleyball.
