W. Water Polo: Falcons have five earn all-conference honors

The Cerritos College women's water polo team, who finished in fourth place in the South Coast Conference, had five of their players earn postseason recognition. The freshman duo of goalkeeper Fenix Nolasco and freshman leading scorer Citlaly Antonio, were named to the 1st Team, with Sophia Wainwright and Fiona Glynn receiving 2nd Team honors. The two are also freshmen. Sophomore Autumn Aragon was named honorable mention.

Nolasco, who played every minute of the season in goal, set a school single-game record with 22 saves against Pasadena City College, ended the season with 253 saves. Her save total ranks as the fourth best in a season in school history. Also a scoring threat, she scored seven goals and added eight assists. Antonio led the team with 49 goals, while she also drew 33 exclusions, while converting 43% of her shots. She had a season-high six goals in two games against East Los Angeles College and had five against Rio Hondo College.

As for Wainwright, she posted 14 goals to go along with 11 assists, as well as 23 steals. She recorded a season-high four goals in wins over Rio Hondo College and Pasadena City College, while she also had three assists against the Lancers. Wainwright came up with a season-high seven steals in a win over East LA in the conference tournament. Glynn finished with 19 goals and led the team with 13 assists and 30 assists on the year. She accounted for six goals, two assists and two steals against Pasadena City, while she recorded two goals, four assists and four steals against East Los Angeles. Glynn turned in a season-high five steals against Santa Monica College.

Aragon concluded the season with five goals, six assists and 18 steals, with two assists coming against East Los Angeles and three steals against Pasadena City.
