Cerritos College Women’s Cross Country (2022): Came in 64th place at the CCCAA State Championships in a time of 20:50.5, while her time of 20:18.2 at the Southern California Championships put her in 46th place… Posted a 12th place time of 22.28.7 at the South Coast Conference Championships and finished in 107th place at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a time of 24:34.3… At the Manny Bautista Classic, she recorded a 43rd place time of 21:40.3 and came in fifth place with a time of 21:12.1 at the Coach Downey Invitational… Finished in 39th place with a time of 21:21.3 at the SoCal Preview Meet, while her time of 21:19.5 earned her a 16th place result at the Fresno International… Opened the season in 37th place at the Redlands Invitational with a time of 19:32.4…..

Cerritos College Women’s Track & Field (2023): Qualified for the 3C2A State Championships in the 3000 meter steeplechase and finished 12th after taking ninth at the Southern California Championships with a personal best time of 12:44.49… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:41.98), 1500 meters (5:19.46), 1600 meters (5:59.17), 3000 meters (11:48.60) and 5000 meters (21:05.99) during the season…..

Lakewood HS: Earned the Outstanding Senior, Team Spirit Award her junior year, Outstanding Sophomore and Outstanding Freshman awards while on the cross country team… Qualified for the CIF Prelims as a senior and placed 10th at the Moore League Championships with a personal best time of 20:27.6… While on the track and field team, she was a three-year team captain… Finished sixth at the league championships in the 1600 meters (5:51.61) and was seventh in 3200 meters (12:45.09)… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:41.26)… Spent four years on the cross country and track and field teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when she posted her two personal best time in the 800 meters and 1600 meters with less than an hour apart at the South Bay Varsity Championships… Would like to transfer to either USC or Biola University… Her father ran cross country and track and field in high school and then at Long Beach City College… Hobbies include outdoor activities… Has one sibling – Gael (17)… Is the daughter of Miguel and Paola Chavez… Born in Long Beach, CA on October 15, 2003…..
