Taking on host Allan Hancock College on Friday, the Cerritos College baseball team posted a dominant 12-4 win, which was their fourth in a row. The Falcons (10-2) will look to complete the three-game sweep on Saturdat at 1:00 p.m. against the Bulldogs (6-6).

Cerritos jumped out early in the top of the first inning, thanks to a two-out error that kept the inning alive. Both Owen Martin (Narbonne HS) and Evan Saito (Torrance HS) were hit by pitches, while Diego Orozco (Long Beach wilson HS) drew a walk. With one out, Wyatt Ormonde (Long Beach Millikan HS) hit into a fielder's choice, which would plate a pair of runs, while an error allowed Saito to advance to third base. After Dylan Immel (El Segundo HS) walked to load the bases once again, a wild pitch brought in a run, while catcher Nate Gardenswartz (Long Beach wilson HS) plated the final run of the inning with a sacrifice fly.

Starting pitcher Noah Andrunas (Gahr HS/UC Riverside) was given a 6-1 lead after the Falcons scored two more times in the fourth inning. The team loaded the bases once again for Ormonde, who singled home a run, while Immel drew another walk, this time brought in a run.

Andrunad improved to 5-0 by tossing the first six innings and allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out four batters. Jake Fowler (Los Alamitos HS) struck out a pair of batters in his two innings of work, while Troy Sonoqui (Long Beach Millikan HS) appeared in his first game of the season and retired all three batters he faced.

Gardenswartz helped increase the lead with a two-run home run in the sixth inning. It was one batter after Mateo Heredia (El Segundo HS) drove in Immel, who doubled with one out. Finishing with a career-high four RBI, Gardenswartz drove in a run in both the eighth and ninth innings.

Gardenswartz finished the day going 3-for-4 with four RBI, while Martin (three runs), Orozco (three walks, two runs), Ormonde (three RBI) and Immel (three walks, two runs) all had strong games. Orozco is currently third in the state with 20 walks.
