After securing their fourth straight South Coast Conference championship, the Cerritos College men's tennis team has been seeded #2 for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Falcons (22-3), who have only one loss this season to a community college team, will host #7-seeded Riverside City College at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Their only community college loss this year was an 8-1 setback against #1-seeded Irvine Valley College.

This will be the second meeting of the season between Cerritos and the Tigers (10-8), as the Falcons recorded a convincing 9-0 win back on February 2, which was their second match of the year. Riverside City finished the season as the fourth place team in the Orange Empire Conference.

The winner of the match will face the winner of the match between #3 Ventura and #5 Orange Coast. Cerritos faced Ventura last week and recorded a 7-2 victory.

At the top of the singles ladder, freshman Oleksandr Krasnov (School 106, Ukraine) was extended to a third set against Samuel Paque before pulling out a 4-6, 6-0, 10-6 win. The other close singles match came in the #5 spot on the ladder, with freshman James Zhang (Shenzhen Luohu Foreign Language School, China) holding off Antoine Voison, 7-5, 7-6.. The Falcons won all three doubles matches handily.
