Cerritos College sophomore men's tennis player Agustin Lombardi became the first of two players to sign with four-year schools. Lombardi, who was named state's ITA Most Improved Player, as well as an ITA Scholar-Athlete and the team's captain, has signed with Northern Colorado University. He is joined by sophomore Mark Antoniuk, who will be transferring to Findlay (OH) University.

On the year, Lombardi posted a 19-3 overall record in singles play, with most of his matches coming in the #3 position (12-1) on the ladder. In doubles play, he teamed with Antoniuk and compiled a 13-8 record. At the state championships in singles action, Lombardi, who was seeded #11, won his first two matches, but was defeated in the Round of 16.

Lombardi replaces one of two graduating seniors, as the Bears went 6-16 on the season. At Findlay, Antoniuk will look to crack a lineup that went 11-12 on the year and loses two seniors to graduation.

Antoniuk played in all six singles positions during the year and went 13-2 overall, which included a 5-0 record in the #3 spot. He and Lombardi were eliminated at the state championships in the Round of 64, while he did not qualify in singles play.
