Competing on the second day of the Pasadena Invitational, the Cerritos College women's swimming team compiled four team points. The Falcons, who will train for the South Coast Conference Championships in two weeks, took part in two relays and six individual events.

In both relays the same quartet of Jackie Oliveros (Gahr HS), Isabella Sierra (California HS), Jenny Parra (Schurr HS) and Lindsay de Haas (Hacienda Heights Wilson HS) accounted for the best time by the Falcons. They took 15th place in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 5:04.21, while their clocking of 2:01.44 in the 200-yard freestyle relay earned them and 19th place finish. They received two team points for the 400-yard medley relay finish.

Collecting the team's other two team points were Oliveros and Sierra, as they both finished in 17th places in their races, good for one point each. In the 200-yard backstroke, Oliveros touched up in 2:35.53, while Sierra recorded a time of 1:22.01 in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Always the most competitive race of the day, the 50-yard freestyle, saw Oliveros finish in 20th place with a time of 27.69. There were 13 swimmers that finished within one second of each other. Sierra also claimed 23rd place in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:42.59, with Oliveros coming in 24th place with her time of 6:01.58 in the 500-yard freestyle. In the 100-yard butterfly, Sierra posted a 25th place time of 1:16.97.
