On Friday at the South Coast Conference Pentathlon, the Cerritos College women's swimming team recorded 107 team points, which put them in fourth place. The Falcons will now send their divers to the SCC Diving Preview at El Camino College on Saturday.

The day got started with the 200-yard medley team of Angelina Romero (Schurr HS), Mia Carbajal (Schurr HS), Kaya Glynn (Cerritos HS) and Jillian Crockett (Cerritos HS) turning in a third place time of 2:09.47. Each member of that quartet also led the Falcons in at least one event in the pentathlon.

Glynn, a state qualifier in the 200-yard butterfly last season, recorded a fifth place time in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:31.73, while she was joined by Romero as ninth place finishers in the 100-yard butterfly. The duo each touched up in a time of 1:12.07.

Carbajal led the way in the 100-yard breaststroke with a fifth place time of 1:19.97, while Glynn posted a 13th place time of 1:24.34. In the 100-yard freestyle, Romero was clocked in 1:02.99, which put her in 14th place, while Crockett was right behind in 15th place at 1:03.47. Glynn also led the team in the 100-yard backstroke with a 17th place time of 1:16.04.
