Competing on a rainy Friday, the Cerritos College women's swimming team tied for seventh place at the Golden West Sprint Medley. The Falcons, who finished with 77 team points, will host Long Beach City College and East Los Angeles College at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in their first South Coast Conference meet.

As a team, Cerritos collected 46 of their points over the course of four relay events, while their best individual event on the day was the 50-yard butterfly. In that race, sophomore Angelina Romero (Schurr HS) recorded a sixth place time at 33.24, with sophomore teammate Kaya Glynn (Cerritos HS) touching up in 33.50 to come in eighth place.

Romero also posted a sixth place time of 2:48.37 in the 200-yard IM, while she placed 11th in the 500-yard freestyle at 6:18.96. As for sophomore Jillian Crockett (Cerritos HS), her time of 1:14.18 put her in ninth place in the 100-yard backstroke, while she came in 11th place in th 50-yard freestyle at 28.57. Sophomore Mia Carbajal (Schurr HS) recorded a time of 1:23.19, which put her in ninth place in the 100-yard breaststroke, with sophomore Alexis Wholey (Cerritos HS) posting a 12th place time of 44.99 in the 50-yard breaststroke.
