Cerritos College Women’s Track & Field (2024): Earned All-American honors as a member of the team’s 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay teams… Helped the team come in second place at the 3C2A State Championships, as the 4x100-meter relay team finished in third place, while the 4x400-meter relay team placed fourth… She ran a leg of both teams that placed second at the Southern California Championships, while the 4x100 won the South Coast Conference championship and the 4x400 came in second place… Also qualified for the Southern California Championships in the 200 meters and 400 meters…..
Cerritos College Beach Volleyball (2025): Will spend the season as a red-shirt to focus on the track and field team…..
Cerritos College Beach Volleyball (2024): Teamed with Brisa Cortez most of the season in the #2 pairs position and finished with a 6-10 record… Paired up with Kira Magdaleno for the conference tournament and dropped their only match…..
Cerritos College Volleyball (2024): Named to the All-State Tournament Team after recording 1 season-high 14 kills and 22 digs against Fresno City College… Selected 1st Team All-South Coast Conference South Division for the second season in a row… Played in all 24 matches and finished with 183 kills, along with 199 digs, 15 assists and 13 service aces… Had 13 kills against Los Angeles Harbor College and 12 against both Mt. San Antonio College and Pasadena City College… Finished with 15 digs against Long Beach City College, while she had double-digits in three other matches… Recorded a season-high four aces against San Bernardino Valley College…..
Cerritos College Volleyball (2023): Named 1st Team All-South Coast Conference South Division… Was second on the team with 206 kills, while she finished second on the team with 198 digs and added 13 total blocks... Turned in a season-high 23 kills against Rio Hondo College and had 20 kills in a win over East Los Angeles College… Recorded double-figure kills in nine matches, while she also had double figure digs 10 times, which included 19 against both Long Beach City College and East Los Angeles… Also had six service aces against Los Angeles City and three blocks against Mt. San Antonio College…..
Schurr HS: Played for Commerce Crush and Volitude Club teams… Helped the team to two straight undefeated league seasons and championships… Team also went undefeated in league player as a freshman… Did not have a sophomore year due to Covid… Voted the league’s Player of the Year as a senior and junior and earned All-CIF recognition as a junior... Was a three-time 1st Team all-league selection… As a senior on the track and field team, she earned 1st Team all-league in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400-meter relay and 1600-meter relay teams… Team won the league championship as a senior… Spent four seasons on the volleyball team, as well as two years on the beach volleyball and track and field teams…..
Personal: Most memorable moment was when she and her beach partner, Brisa Cortez, played four tough matches in a row to qualify for the CIF Playoffs in pairs… Would like to transfer to Cal State Los Angeles, Cal State Dominguez Hills, UC Riverside or UC Irvine… Hobbies include thrifting, hiking and dancing… Nicknamed “Jas”… Has two siblings – Stephanie (22) and Evelyn (19), who was her teammate on the volleyball team this season… Is the daughter of Juan Soto and Evelia Castro… Born on March 18, 2005…..
