Earlier in the year, freshman Juan Ward broke a 24-year school record in the 110-meter HH for the Cerritos College men's track and field team. On Tuesday at the South Coast Conference Prelims, Ward posted an even better time, as he turned in a first place time of 14.27. He was one of nine first place finishers, as the Falcons compiled 38 team points and are in second place heading into the SCC Championships, which will be held at Cerritos on Saturday.
