Back on March 13, the Cerritos College baseball team had their South Coast Conference game at Pasadena City College halted in the bottom of the sixth inning due to rain. At the time the game was suspended, the Lancers were leading, 3-0. The game was completed on Monday and Pasadena City added three more runs to post a 6-0 decision against the Falcons (24-8, 9-5), which snapped the team's five-game winning streak. Cerritos will now start a three-game series against Los Angeles Harbor College with the first game slated for 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Kincaid Field.

Early in the game, the Falcons had several chances to score. In the top of the second inning, sophomore second baseman Jesus Mercado (St. John Bosco HS) led off with a double, but the next three batters could not bring him around to score. The fourth inning opened with sophomore outfielder Rollie Nichols (Serra HS) reaching base on an error and stole second base with one out. He was then cut down at third base trying to advance on an infield ground ball, with the inning ending without another scoring threat.

With the game resuming, Pasadena City added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning against sophomore relief pitcher Jakob Gonzalez (La Mirada HS/San Jose State University). With a pair of runners on base and one out, Gonzalez threw the ball away on a sacrifice bunt attempt, which brought in a run, followed by a sacrifice fly.

The first six batters were retired until sophomore third baseman Jorge Rodriguez (Bellflower HS) led off the ninth inning with a base hit, while the game ended on a double play.

Cerritos collected only five hits against Lancers pitcher Nathan Garkow, who ended up throwing a complete game.
