Cerritos College Men’s Water Polo (2021): Named All-South Coast Conference Honorable Mention… Posted an 7-3 record in 16 games in goal and made 83 saves… Won four consecutive games over one stretch… Had a season-high nine saves against San Diego Miramar College and posted eight against Rio Hondo College… Also assisted on four goals and made eight steals…..

Schurr HS: While on the swimming team, he specialized in the 50-yard freestyle (24.0) and 100-yard freestyle (53.0)… Helped the water polo team win three Almont League championship… Named 1st Team all-league as a junior after earning 2nd Team honors three seasons in a row… Team advanced to the CIF Division III championship game his senior year… Named 2nd Team All-CIF twice and 3rd Team All-CIF as a freshman… Recorded 184 saves his senior season after turning away 170 his junior year… Accounted for 144 saves as a goalkeeper as a sophomore, while he posted 210 stops in his freshman season… Spent four years on the water polo and swimming teams…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he turned in his personal best time in the 100-yard freestyle at the CIF Prelims… All four of his sisters –Alyssa (25), Amanda (23) and Alexis (23) played softball, including Michelle, who played for Cerritos… Hobbies include hiking and biking… Aspires to be an engineer… Nicknamed “Bubba”… Is the son of Rene and Margie Borja… Born in Boyle Heights, CA on December 27, 2001…..
