In their final South Coast Conference dual meet of the season, the Cerritos College men's swimming team posted a 166-16 win over Pasadena City College. The Falcons, who finished with a 4-2 record, will get three weeks off before they take part in the conference championships on April 21-23 at East Los Angeles College.

The team swept through most of the events and had the lone entries in 11 of the events on the day.

Cerritos opened the day by winning to 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:52.67 and consisted of Sebastian Rico, Joey Hurtado, Kobe Hurtado and Michael Reyes, while the team capped off the day by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay. The quartet of Kobe Hurtado, Richard Montanez, Axel Pedroza and Dave Son were clocked in 3:42.75.

Picking up wins in three events was Gaddiel Gil, who recorded a time of 1:07.42 in the 100-yark backstroke and followed that by touching up in 2:24.72 to win the 200-yard backstroke. He finished his day with a clocking of 5:55.73 to win the 500-yard freestyle. Kobe Hurtado, who was part of a relay win, earned a pair of individual first place finishes. He won both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.76) and 100-yard butterfly (56.30).

It was a two-victory day for Silvestre Chavez, who defeated the field in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:10.60, while his time of 2:14.11 was good enough to win the 200-yard IM. In the 50-yard freestyle, Reyes earned a first place time of 24.39, with Montanez taking first place in the 100-yard freestyle in 54.71. The 200-yard breaststroke resulted in a close finish, as Rene Borja posted a time of 2:46.18, which bested teammate Mario Vanzillotta (2:48.52).
