The Cerritos College men's swimming team ended their season with a fourth place finish at the South Coast Conference Championships on Saturday. The Falcons compiled 393 team points over the three-day event that was held at East Los Angeles College.

Leading the team on the final day was Kobe Hurtado (Cerritos HS), who turned in a third place finish in the 200-yard butterfly. His time of 2:03.85 was just shy of the second place time of 2:03.53. He also swam the final leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay in the last event of the championships. Hurtado was joined by Silvestre Chavez (Downey HS), Richard Montanez (Baldwin Park HS) and Michael Reyes (Cerritos HS) for a fourth place time of 3:21.81.

Cerritos also saw Chavez place fifth in the 100-yard freestyle with his clocking of 49.26, while Joey Hurtado (Cerritos HS) made the championship round of the 200-yard breaststroke and turned in an eighth place time of 2:31.80.

Thomas Luther (Cerritos HS) wasn't able to make the championship finals in the 1650-yard freestyle, but he finished first in the consolation round for a ninth place finish overall with a time of 21:08.55. It was a 10th place finish in the 200-yard backstroke for Gaddiel Gil (Paramount HS), who posted a time of 2:26.76.
