As the lone Cerritos College men's swimming representative at the CCCAA State Championships, Kobe Hurtado (Cerritos HS) posted a pair of 13th place finishes in his two events. Competing at East Los Angeles College, Hurtado competed in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard butterfly. His results earned the Falcons eight team points for the state championships.

In his first event, Hurtado won his heat in the 100-yard butterfly in the prelims, but his time of 52.37 put him in 14th place, which left him competing in the consolation race of the finals. He improved one place in the consolation finals with a time of 52.11 for his 13th place finish, which ranks as the fourth best time in school history. He was a little over one second behind the ninth place time, which represents the top consolation time.

Hurtado followed that performance with a 15th place finish in the prelims of the 200-yard butterfly. He capped off his season by coming in 13th place in the consolation race with a clocking of 2:01.98, which is also the fourth best time in school history. Hurtado was just edged out for 12th place by Ohlone College's Tommy Ryken, who touched up in 2:01.14.
