After winning the South Coast Conference, the Cerritos College men's tennis team was seeded #6 for the Southern California Regional Dual Team Playoffs. The Falcons (11-10) will travel on Tuesday to take on Riverside City College (17-2) at 4:00 p.m. in a quarterfinal match. The #4 seeded Tigers went undefeated in the Orange Empire Conference.
This will be the first meeting of the season between the two teams, although Cerritos has faced five of the other six teams that qualified for the post-season and went 1-4. The Falcons are led by freshman Nathan Eshmade (Kings Baptist HS, Australia), who is 17-1 in singles play, while two of the three doubles teams will enter with winning records.
The winner will advance to the semi-finals, which will be on Tuesday, April 16.
