With time running out in their non-conference game at Fullerton College on Friday, the Cerritos College women's soccer team came up with some late game heroics to post a 2-2 tie. The Falcons (1-5-3) will close out their non-conference schedule next Friday at 3:00 p.m. when they host Mt. San Jacinto College.

Cerritos spotted the Hornets an early 1-0 lead, and needed a goal in the 88th minute to come away with a tie. Freshman Hypasha Garcia (Gahr HS) found freshman Jenna Santos (St. Joseph HS) in the right position and she got her shot past Fullerton goalkeeper Kyra Mangini for her second goal of the season.

With just two minutes remaining in the first half, the Falcons were able to go into halftime tied 1-1 when Samara Gonzalez (Norwalk HS) picked up her first goals of the season. It looked as though the Hornets would come away with they scored in the 79th minute, but the Falcons were able to get the tying goal before the final whistle.

Freshman Trinidad Arizmendi (El Rancho HS) turned away six Fullerton shots on the day.
