It took less than two hours for the Cerritos College women's tennis team to post a 9-0 sweep over visiting Fullerton College (7-9) on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons (17-1), who won their 15th match in a row, have now shut out nine of their last 10 opponents. They will look to continue their success on Friday when they play a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match against Riverside City College (10-4).

It was nearly a clean sweep across the board on both singles and doubles for Cerritos. The top doubles team of sophomore Lisa Suzuki (Fujimigaoka, Japan/Seward County (KS) CC) and freshman Kseniia Prokopchuk (School 45, Ukraine) earned an 8-0 win, while the other two matches were won by 8-1 scores.

Aside from three games lost, the Falcons earned 6-0, 6-0 wins in four of the six doubles matches. Suzuki, Prokopchuk, along with freshman Moa Lindstrom (Dragonskolans Elitidrottgymnasium, Sweden) and sophomore Diviana Bravo (Rosa de Jesus Cordero, Ecuador) all recorded 6-0, 6-0 wins, while sophomore Petra Such (Illyes Gyula, Hungary) surrendered one game in the #2 singles match. Sophomore Itzi Torres (ITESM CEM, Mexico/Kansas Wesleyan University) returned to the lineup and posted a 6-2, 6-0 win in the #5 match.
