Cerritos College Women’s Water Polo (2021): Named 1st Team All-South Coast Conference… Finished the season third on the team in goals with 58 goals, while adding 40 assists and 34 steals… Scored a season-high five goals against both Fresno City College and Chaffey College, while scoring four goals in four other games… Had a season-high five assists against Pasadena City College and four helpers in two other games, while she turned in a season-high four steals against Ventura College and Mt. San Antonio College…..

Schurr HS: Was a three-time All-Almont League selection and helped the team win the CIF Division II Regional Playoffs her junior and freshman seasons… Posted 29 goals, with 20 assists and led the team with 43 steals her senior year, while she scored 18 goals with 16 assists and 21 steals her junior season… Accounted for 12 goals, 12 assists and 16 steals in her sophomore year and had 28 goals, along with 13 assists and 31 steals in her freshman year… While on the swimming team, she specialized in the 500-yard freestyle (5:15.0)… Spent four seasons on the water polo and swimming teams… Was coached by current Cerritos assistant David Argumosa…..

Personal: Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach and aspires to be a nurse… Her cousin played water polo at the University of Hawaii… Hobbies include roller skating and threading eyebrows… Has three siblings – Rosie (13), Hazel (8) and Olivia (6), who all play water polo… Is the daughter of Rico Romero and Lilia Mata… Born in Monterey Park, CA on April 24, 2002…..
