For Cerritos College freshman swimmer Amanda Loya, the CCCAA State Championships at East Los Angeles College served as a final chance this season to improve on a school record she broke two weeks earlier.
After coming in fifth place at the South Coast Conference Championships, the Cerritos College women's swimming team found out that two of their athletes have qualified for the CCCAA State Championships.
In their final South Coast Conference dual meet of the season, the Cerritos College women's swimming team was swept and finished their regular season with a 3-4 record.
Led by the duo of freshman Amanda Loya and sophomore Carla Harvey, the Cerritos College women's swimming team came in third place at the Palomar Invitational over the weekend.
