In their final South Coast Conference dual meet of the season, the Cerritos College women's swimming team was swept and finished their regular season with a 3-4 record. The Falcons have three more invitationals before they compete in the conference championships. They will send their swimmers to the Golden West Invitational, while the divers will compete at the Pasadena Invitational, with both events taking place on Friday.

At the conference meet, Cerritos dropped a 170-90 score against host Pasadena City College, while they lost a close 136-133 decision against El Camino College. The Falcons lost five points on disqualifications, which would have earned them the win, while sophomore Teresa Zuniga (California HS), one of the team's swimmers in the breaststroke and freestyle distance swimmers, was unavailable for the meet.

The only win on the day came in the 100-yard breaststroke, as freshman Amanda Loya (St. Joseph HS) posted a time of 1:11.32, which edged Pasadena City's Arolyn Basham by .11 of a second. She continues to close in on breaking the school record of 1:09.29, which was established in 2011 by Mehgan Carbajal.

Loya was also a part of the 200-yard medley relay team that came in second place with a time of 2:02.30. The squad consisted of Carla Harvey (Potomac Falls, VA HS), Loya, freshman Stephanie Alfaro (Gahr HS) and Bianca Serrano (Cerritos HS). It was a second place finish for Loya in the 50-yard breaststroke with her time of 33.08, while sophomore Heather Davidson (Mayfair HS) earned third place with a time of 38.64. In her third event, Loya placed second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 59.75.

Serrano placed third in a pair of events, with her time of 28.43 in the 50-yard freestyle and 2:16.23 in the 200-yard freestyle earning the team points. Harvey also took third place in the 50-yard backstroke (30.49) and 100-yard backstroke (1:05.41).
