Led by freshman thrower Destiny Mack-Talalemotu (Long Beach Millikan HS), who won three events, the Cerritos College women's track and field team won four events and placed second in four others at the Point Loma Invitational on Saturday. Mack-Talalemotu easily picked up her wins in the shot put (14.16 meters), hammer (44,43 meters) and discus (44.43 meters), which improves on her fifth best throw in school history. The other Falcon win came in the 1600-meter relay, as they team turned in a time of 3:58.51 to win by eight seconds.

This weekend, part of the team will travel north to compete in the Stanford Invitational, while other members will head south for the Arnie Robinson Invitational at San Diego Mesa College.
