Results

From the first event to the seventh, Cerritos College sophomore Jazzmine Davis (El Camino Real Charter HS) led the SoCal Heptathlon Championships at Saddleback College. The two-day event saw Davis score enough points to move into fifth on the college's Top 5 list with 4599 points. She will compete in the CCCAA State Championships in San Mateo May 19-20.

Davis jumped out to a sizable lead after the first event, as she amassed 924 points after posting a time of 14.39 in the 100-meter HH. She ended the first day with a clocking of 25.17, which added 871 points to her total. Through the first four events, Davis had 2800 meters and led her closest competition by 526 points.

No only did she open the day by recording the ninth best long jump in the state at 5.47 meters, it increased her lead to over 650 points and David cruised the the championship.

The Falcons also had four others in the competition, with sophomore Michelle Campos (Warren HS) finishing in seventh place with 3428 points and included the second best shot put of the competition at 10.03 meters. Also competing for Cerritos were freshmen Amayaah Williamson (Palisades HS), Melana Goodloe (Warren HS) and Alyssa Zabala (California HS), who finished in eighth through 10th places, respectively.
