With three individual wins from freshman Rodrigo Baca (Kennedy HS), and the second fastest time in school history in the 1000-yard freestyle, the Cerritos College men's swimming team split their three-way conference meet on Friday. The Falcons posted a 172-20 win over Los Angeles Trade-Tech College, while they suffered a 141-102 setback against host Pasadena City College. The team will compete in their final conference meet next Friday when they travel to Rio Hondo College and are joined by Long Beach City College.

Baca picked up his first place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (56.97), 50-yard freestyle (22.39) and 100-yard butterfly (54.74). It marks the second straight week that Baca earned the trio of wins in a conference meet.

In the 1000-yard freestyle, freshman Colson Morrow (Long Beach Millikan HS) moved closer to breaking the school record with his time of 10:34.01 earning him a second place finish on the day.
