Cerritos College Men’s Track & Field (2022): Qualified for the Southern California Prelims in the 1500 meters (4:14.14) after coming in fourth place at the South Coast Conference Championships… Finished in eighth place at the conference championships in the 800 meters (2:01.80)… Also compete in the 1-mile race (4:58.50)…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2020): Maintained his year of eligibility due to Covid-19… Before the season was cancelled, he compete in the 800 meters (2:06.17) and 1500 meters (4:27.60)…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2019): Placed 168th at the CCCAA State Championships with a time of 25:04.3, while he checked in with a time of 26:30.5 to come in 62nd place at the South Coast Conference Championships… Finished 111th at the Brubaker Invitational in a time of 23:53.6 and was 61st at the Cerritos Invitational with his time of 23:52.11… Earned 70th place at the SoCal Preview Meet with a clocking of 26:08.9, while at the Fresno Invitational, he posted a 164th place time of 25:16.0… Opened the season in 211th place at the Mark Covert Classic with a time of 33:21.1…..

Long Beach Jordan HS: Earned the Pam Marshall Spirit of the Panther Award as a senior and was voted the track and field team’s Most Outstanding Distance Runner as a junior and freshman… Spent four seasons on the cross country and track and field teams… While on the track team he specialized in the 800 meters (2:02.0) and 1600 meters (4:34.0)…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was his performance in the 800 meters and 1600 meters at the Chandler (AZ) Invitational… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… Aspires to be a sports commentator… Hobbies include working on cars, playing soccer and working out… Nicknamed “Joey”… Has two siblings – Noliea (23) and Josh (19)… Is the son of Jose and Monica Munoz… Born in Long Beach, CA on March 25, 2001…..
