On Saturday, the Cerritos College men's track and field team performed well in their field events at the Oxy Distance Carnival & Spring Break Classic. Next Friday, the Falcons will compete in the Orange Coast Classic.
Along with the strong field showing, both relay teams came in fifth place on the day. Sophomore Micah Norfles (Marina HS) won the hammer with a distance of 49.32 meters, while his 12.68 meters in the shot put earned him a fifth place result.
In the 4x100-meter relay, the quartet of Dylan Dominguez (El Rancho HS), Colby Owens (Milford Mill Academy, MD HS), Jacob Jimenez (El Rancho HS) and Jaheim Williams (Compton HS) recorded a fifth place time of 42.65, with Dominguez, Owens, Williams and Maurice Jackson (Long Beach Jordan HS) were clocked in 3:29.12, good for fifth place.
