El Rancho HS: Won the Del Rio League championship in the 100 meters (11.1), long jump (21’ 1½”) and as a member of the 400-meter relay team his senior season… Also competed in the 200 meters (22.52) and 400 meters (51.4)… While on the football team, he was named all-league on offense his senior year and all-league on defense as a junior…..
