With nine wrestlers placing in the top four of the 10 weight classes, the Cerritos College wrestling team outdistanced everyone to win the East Los Angeles Brawl on Saturday. The Falcons, who also had two individual champions, finished with 213.5 team points, with conference opponent Palomar College in second place with 192.5 team points. It was the final regular season match, as Cerritos will compete in the Southern California Championships on December 5 at Mt. San Antonio College.

At 141 pounds, sophomore Voris Meeks (Yucca Valley HS) posted three wins to win the individual title, while freshman Adam Arreola (Lakewood HS) received a default win in the championships to capture the 184-pound title. He was slated to take on freshman Ryker Coppa (Marina HS), but he defaulted out to give Arreola the title.

Reaching the finals at 125 pounds was sophomore Estevan Cabanas (Canyon Springs HS), as did freshman Kody Davis (Chino Valley, AZ HS) at 149 pounds and freshman Dylan Moreno (Downey HS) at 157 pounds. At 174 pounds, freshman John Robles (Santa Fe HS) placed in the top four after reaching the semifinals.
