In their second match this season against El Camino College, the Cerritos College women's tennis team once again came up short. They dropped a 7-1 South Coast Conference decision at home on Tuesday, which puts their season record at 2-5, while they are 1-2 in conference play. It also ended the team's modest two-match winning streak. The Falcons will travel to Rio Hondo College next Thursday in another conference match.

The lone win on the day for Cerritos came in the #4 singles position, as freshman Selene Bayardo (Long Beach Millikan HS) battled back after losing the first set. She posted a 6-0 win over Brenda Fernandez in the second set and then pulled out an 11-9 win in the third set tie-breaker. Freshman Yesenia Palacios (Long Beach Wilson HS) moved up to the #2 position for the first time all season and was defeated in straight sets. The only match that was not completed came in the #1 singles position, as sophomore Moa Lindström (Dragonskolan Elitidrottgymnasium, Sweden) trailed, 3-6, 5-6 before rain came and the match was ended.
