For the last 40 years, the Mt. San Antonio College held the record in the women's 4x100-meter relay at the Southern California Championships. Their long-standing time of 45.59 was eclipsed by the Cerritos College quartet of Kimora Rogers (Katella HS), Rionna Wallace (Lakewood HS), Jazzmine Davis (El Camino Real Charter HS) and Aryianna Faircloth (Magnolia HS), who won the Southern California Championship with a new record time of 45.44. It was one of seven first place finishes for the Falcons, who came in second place as a team with 144 team points. Those who qualified will be competing in the 3C2A State Championships at San Mateo College next weekend.

Turning in one of the best SoCal Championships in school history was Davis, who had a hand in the record-breaking relay race, while she also won four individual championships. She came away with titles in the 100-meter HH (13.92), 400-meter IH (1:02.71), long jump (5.72 meters) and heptathlon (4599 points). Davis also ran the first leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished in second place in 3:53.94 and consisted of Davis, Sophie Lopez (Fountain Valley HS), Faircloth and Elena Mack (El Camino Real Charter HS).

Wallace also won the 100 meters (11.79), while in the field events, Angelina Escobar (Bell Gardens HS) came in third place in both the hammer (44.77 meters) and javelin (32.97 meters), while she recorded fourth place results in the shot put (11.95 meters) and discus (41.46 meters). Sophomore Faitalia Ah-Fook (Warren HS) won the championship in the hammer at 48.43 meters.
