With a mixture of community colleges and four-year universities, the Cerritos College women's track and field team won three running events at the Oxy Distance Carnival & Spring Break Classic on Saturday. The team will spend next Friday at the Orange Coast Classic.
The Falcons took the top to places in the 100 meters, as sophomore Aryianna Faircloth (Magnolia HS) posted a winning time of 12.13, with sophomore teammate Rionna Wallace (Lakewood HS/Cal State Northridge) right behind in second place at 12.19. Not far off was freshman Kimura Rogers (Katella HS), whose time of 12.43 put her in fifth place. Freshman Elena Mack (El Camino Real Charter HS) posted the fastest time in the 400 meters with a winning time of 1:00.10.
In the 4x100-meter relay, the foursome of Rogers, Wallace, freshman Crystal Nguyen (Fountain Valley HS) and Faircloth finished in first place with a time of 46.91.
