As one of only a small group of community colleges competing in the Mangrum Invitational at Cal State San Marcos on Friday, the Cerritos College women's track & field team performed very well. Next weekend, the Falcons will split their team and compete in three meets. Those who have turned in qualifying marks will compete in the Stanford Invitational on Friday and Saturday, while another group will take part in the Chabot Invitational on Friday or the San Francisco State Invitational on Saturday. On Saturday, those who didn't travel will compete in the El Camino "Dave Shannon" Invitational on Saturday.
The highlight of the day was sophomore Jazzmine Davis (El Camino Real Charter HS) who not only placed second in the 110-meter HH with a time of 14.08, it was also a Southern California Automatic Qualifying time. The clocking also moved her into third place on the school's all-time list.
