The Cerritos College women's cross country team finished in 14th place at the Fresno Invitational on Saturday. The Falcons finished with 354 team points on the day and will look to improve on their placing when they compete in the SoCal Preview Meet at Mission Bay on San Diego on Friday.
Over thr 5K course, 135 runners competed, with Valeria Guerra (Warren HS) the first to finish the course with a time of 21:56.4, good for 50th place overall. There were 12 runners in that pack, who all finished within 10 second of each other, with Guerra fourth in that group.
Next up for the Falcons was Charlotte Barrera (El Rancho HS), whose time of 22:42.9 put her in 68th place overall, while Yvonne Villalba (Los Alamitos HS) posted a 78th place time of 23:01.8. As a team, Cerritos had just five runners on the day, with Glenn Nance (Gardena HS) and Adrianna Martinez (California HS) rounding out the squad. Nance posted a 113th place time of 25:31.1, while Martinez completed the course in 27:29.3, which put her in 124th place overall.
