In their first South Coast Conference match in the program's history, the Cerritos College beach volleyball team suffered a 5-0 decision against Long Beach City College. The Falcons (6-5, 0-1) will travel to Palm Desert next Friday for conference matches against El Camino College and host College of the Desert.

In the loss to the Vikings (6-3, 1-0), Cerritos was defeated in straight sets, with the tandem of Jenni Solano (La Mirada HS) and Emily Gutierrez (Downey HS) playing the closest sets. They were defeated in a pair of close sets, but fell, 20-22, 24-26, and were the only pair to record at least 20 points in any of their sets.

The pairing of Brisa Cortez (Schurr HS) and Jasmine Soto-Castro (Schurr HS) came up short in a pair of 17-21, 17-21 sets, with the top duo of Jayda Harris-Amete (La Mirada HS) and Leeya Rubio (Schurr HS) dropping a 15-21, 16-21 match.
