In their first season as an intercollegiate team, the Cerritos College beach volleyball team was represented at the Southern California Regionals by one doubles pair. The tandem of sophomore Jenni Solano (La Mirada HS) and freshman Emily Gutierrez (Downey HS) earned the right to compete in the Regional Playoffs after coming in seventh place at the South Coast Conference Championships.

Competing at El Camino College on Friday as the #29-seed took on #4-seeded Natalie Brandlin and Audra Fowler in their opening match. The duo absorbed a 14-21, 7-21 setback, which dropped them into the consolation round. The Laser duo ended up in 15th place on the day.

In the 17th-19th bracket, the Falcon pair squared off against #13-seeded Erica Griffiths and Sophia Ortiz of El Camino College. Solano and Gutierrez, who ended the season with a 14-9 record as a pair, suffered a 9-21, 17-21 loss.
