M. Basketball: Former Falcon Jarion Henry signs with TBL Kokomo BobKats

Looking for extra depth and size, the Kokomo BobKats of The Basketball League have signed former Cerritos College men's basketball player Jarion Henry. An All-State selection for the Falcons during the 2013-14 season, Henry was also a 1st Team All-South Coast Conference pick. He transferred to Cal State San Bernardino, and played previously played professionally for the St. John's Edge (2017-18) of the National Basketball League of Canada, where he averaged 7.2 points and 6.8 rebounds in 17 games. He also saw time with now-defunct The Island Storm of the same league in 2018. 

Jarion Henry was an All-State player for the Falcons during the 2013-14 season With the BobKats, who are based in Indiana, Henry helped them clinch the championship of the Upper Midwest League with five games remaining on their schedule. Since joining the team, he has appeared in one game and scored three points, while pulling down eight rebounds. He is expected to play a larger role once they open postseason play.

While with the Falcons, Henry led the team in scoring (12.8), rebounding (9.9), assists (3.9), steals (1.5) and was third with 33 blocked shots. He scored a season-high 24 points twice and pulled down double-digit rebounds in nine of the final 11 games, including a season-high 18 against Chaffey College in the season-ending 68-66 loss. They were one game away from advancing to the State Final Four his sophomore season.

On the year, Henry pulled down double-digits in rebounds 14 times, including a stretch of six in a row and eight of nine games. He converted 46.3 of his field goals and 59% of his free throws. Even at 6-10, Henry was a shooting threat from the outside, evident by his three three-pointers against Los Angeles Harbor and seven treys on the year.
