The first member of the Cerritos College men's basketball team has made their decision on a four-year school. Guard Gorden Boykins (St. Anthony HS), an All-South Conference South Division selection, has signed with Lewis & Clark State College, an NAIA school in Lewiston, ID. Four other sophomore are still weighing their options on where they will transfer.

One of the most versatile players on the team, Boykins accounted for 9.0 points a game, while his 58.8 field goal percentage ranked 22nd in the state last season. Boykins also posted 4.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game and scored a season-high 20 points in the team's first round playoff loss that ended the season. He pulled down a season-high seven rebounds four times and dished out at least six assists in a game seven times. Boykins also started in 23 of the Falcons 29 games, as the team came in second place in the South Coast Conference South Division.

He'll be joining a Warriors team that went 15-16 on the year and lost in the first round of the Cascade Conference Tournament. Boykins will provide depth an experience on a team that returns seven players, with five of them being guards.
