Based on his second place finish in the 3-meter event at the South Coast Conference Championships over the weekend, sophomore diver Scott Robles (Murrieta Valley HS) has earned a 2nd Alternate position for the state championships. Robles finished with 209.80 points, which was the 10th best point total of all 40 divers from the four Southern California conferences. The top eight point totals automatically qualify for the State Championships at Chaffey College on April 25-27, with the next two highest total earning alternate positions.

Robles finished second in the conference behind Shane Guerrero of El Camino College (231.55 points), who he defeated at the Pasadena Invitational the week before. In the 1-meter event, Robles came in third place with 169.50 points and trailed Guerrero (265.75) and Mt. San Antonio College's Lester Chiu, who had 169.85 points.

Also competing for the Falcons were sophomore Daric Johnson (Whittier HS), who placed seventh in the 3-meter (142.00) and ninth in the 1-meter (148.20), while freshman Cody Anderson (Valencia HS) earned a 10th place finish with 144.55 points in the 1-meter. He placed 14th in the 3-meter, with freshman Joseph Owens (Kennedy HS) also competing for Cerritos.
