After scoring the first eight goals of the game in their South Coast Conference match at the Falcon Aquatic Center on Wednesday, the Cerritos College men's water polo team went on to cruise to a 12-4 win over El Camino College. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak and improved their record to 17-7 overall and 2-1 in SCC play, while the Warriors dropped to 3-9 and 1-2. The Falcons don't have much time to rest, as they host Palomar College at 7:00 p.m. in a non-conference match.

Leading the way early on was freshman Miguel Garcia (Montebello HS) who scored three goals in the first quarter, as Cerritos led 6-0 after the first eight minutes. The starters didn't see much playing time after the first quarter, while sophomore goalkeeper Michael Skinas (La Serna HS) was relieved by freshman Coleton Perez (Western HS) in the second half.

Sophomore Christian Flores (Montebello HS) scored twice and added three assists in the match, while freshman Joshua Owens (Kennedy HS) added a pair of goals and three steals. The combination of Skinas and Perez posted six saves.
