Playoff Bracket
Starting on Friday, the Cerritos College men's water polo team will look to be one of only two teams from Southern California to qualify for the CCCAA State Championships. The Falcons (26-4), who won the South Coast Conference Tournament Championship, were seeded #2 for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs. The team received a bye in the first round and will take on either #7 Grossmont vs. #10 Cuesta at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Golden West College.
Last season, the Falcons came in fourth place at the SoCal Regional Playoffs and are looking for their first trip to the state tournament since 2012 when they came in third place.
Cerritos defeated Cuesta, 12-10 at the Golden West Tournament in late October and have not faced the Griffins this season. The Falcons have faced eight of the other nine teams that have reached the SoCal Playoffs and have a combined 11-3 record.
