Taking on Los Angeles Harbor College for the second day in a row, the Cerritos College softball team picked up another solid win. On Monday, the Falcons (18-12, 6-3) earned a 10-2 win over the Seahawks, while they followed that with an 11-2, 5-inning win at Nancy Kelly Field on Tuesday. The team will now host Long Beach City College at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Trailing 1-0 heading into their first plate appearance, sophomore designated player Briana Lopez (Norwalk HS) quickly tied the game with her state-leading 16th home run of the season and is now tied with Aeriel Carlos of Riverside City College for the lead. Freshman shortstop Tena Spoolstra (Mayfair HS) and freshman outfielder Brianna Spoolstra (Mayfair HS) followed with consecutive doubles to bring in another run, while a single from freshman first baseman Keira Bolinas (Torrance HS) was followed by an RBI single from freshman designated player Deja Sendejas (El Rancho HS).

Continuing their hot hitting, the Falcons added five more runs in the second inning, thanks in part to three walks. Sophomore outfielder Emma Wolff (Mayfair HS) and Lopez drew walks to start the stanza, while Bolinas loaded the bases with a two-out free pass. Freshman third baseman Kayla Hernandez (Santa Fe HS) laced a two-run single, with Sendejas driving in a run with a single. The inning concluded with a two-run double from freshman outfielder Kayla Aros (Torrance HS).

Freshman pitcher Allisyn Udell (Whittier Christian HS) was the recipient of the offensive outburst and earned the complete game win to improve to 5-2 on the year. She surrendered two runs (one earned) on seven hits.

The scoring concluded in the third inning when Hernandez cleared the bases with a three-run double and finished the game 2-for-3 with a career-high five RBI.
