All-Conference Teams

In a record-breaking season for Cerritos College softball coach Kodee Murray, the awards keep coming, as she was named the South Coast Conference South Division Coach of the Year. Murray, who set the college's all-time win record with her 503rd victory earlier in the season, led the Falcons to a second place finish in the division and a 22-16 regular season record. It marks the fourth time in her career that Murray has been named the conference's Coach of the Year.

Additionally, four players earned 1st Team all-conference recognition, while three others were 2nd Team selections. Sophomore catcher Briana Lopez (Norwalk HS), who was a consideration for Player of the Year, earned 1st Team honors for the second season in a row and was joined by freshmen third baseman Kayla Hernandez (Santa Fe HS), outfielder Brianna Spoolstra (Mayfair HS) and shortstop Tena Spoolstra (Mayfair HS). Lopez, who is still in the hunt for the college's single-season home run record (20), finished the regular season batting .383 with 18 home runs, 59 RBI and 10 doubles, along with a .910 slugging percentage. As for Hernandez, she is second on the team with a .400 batting average with nine doubles and is third with 29 RBI. The team-leader in batting average, Brianna Spoolstra hit at a .450 clip during the regular season, with a team-leading 21 walks and 11 doubles, while she's second on the team with 35 RBI. Her sister, Tena, hit .343 on the season and led the Falcons with 16 stolen bases, while driving in 15 runs.

Earning 2nd Team honors were freshman outfielder Kayla Aros (Torrance HS), freshman first baseman Keira Bolinas (Torrance HS) and freshman pitcher Sierra Gerdts (Montebello HS). Aros, who opened the season as the team's second baseman, moved the center field and had a .949 fielding percentage, while hitting at a .263 clip with six doubles and 13 RBI. Clean-up hitter Bolinas batted .336 during the regular season, along with eight doubles and 24 RBI, while Gerdts posted a 16-11 record in the circle with one save and 13 complete games. She recorded a 4.20 ERA and registered 51 strikeouts during the regular season.
