On Friday afternoon, the Cerritos College women's soccer team closed out their regular season with a 3-0 home win over Los Angeles Harbor College. The Falcons (14-4-2, 7-1-0), who have won their last six games in a row, will find out on Tuesday where they have been seeded for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs, which start November 23. The team finished second in the South Coast Conference, which snaps a streak of 13 consecutive seasons that head coach Ruben Gonzalez didn't win the conference title.

In the win over the Seahawks (5-11-2, 0-6-1), the Falcons scored all three of their goals within seven minutes of each other in the first half. The scoring opened in the 16th minute when sophomore Valeria Corrilo (Dominguez HS) moved the ball deep into the LA Harbor 18-yard box and sent a crossing pass through the goal line to sophomore Nia Thompson (Kennedy HS/Alabama A&M University), who chipped it into the net for her 14th goal of the year.

Cerritos picked up their next two goals within two minutes of each other. In the 22nd minute, freshman Aubree Stevens (Pacifica HS) sent another beautiful cross on a corner kick, where sophomore Maria Campos (Paramount HS) was there to head the ball into the net. Corrilo picked up the team's final goal in the 24th minute, as she dribbled the ball twice after receiving a pass from freshman Briana Flores (North Torrance HS), and fired a shot across the goal into the far lower corner for her seventh goal.

LA Harbor did keep the Falcons off the board in the second half, but didn't generate any offense of their own, as they were prevented from taking any shots.
