With 10 schools competing in the Golden West Invitational on Friday, the Cerritos College women's swimming team compiled 52 team points to come in ninth place. The Falcons are right back in action next Friday when they travel to Long Beach City College for their South Coast Conference dual opener.

Leading the way for Cerritos on the day was Camila Oliveira, who had a hand in 33 of the team's points. She swam a leg of the 200-yard medley relay team that earned eighth place team points. They quartet of Hannah Gonzalez, Alexis Cummings, Oliveria and Kylee McKenna posted a time of 2:24.27.

Oliveira also placed third in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:32.76 to earn 10 team points, while her fourth place time of 1:08.90 in the 100-yard butterfly netted the Falcons nine more team points. She also placed fifth in the 100-yard freestyle with a clocking of 1:00.51.

Also swimming in the 100-yard fly was Autumn Aragon, who came in eighth place in a time of 1:34.46. Posting 15th place finishes in individual races were Gonzalez (1:37.17) in the 100-yard backstroke and Cummings (29.53) in the 50-yard freestyle.

Cerritos also recorded a seventh place result in the 200-yard freestyle relay that consisted of Angel Aldaz, Aragon, Cummings and Gonzalez.
