Hosting their first dual of the season, the Cerritos College women's swimming team faced off against El Camino College on Friday. The Falcons will follow that by hosting both Chaffey College and Rio Hondo College next Friday at 10:00 a.m. in their final conference dual of the season.
Against the Warriors, Cerritos was the lone team in two events, which secured nine team points in each event. In the 100-yard backstroke, Kylee McKenna (Home Schooled) turned in a time of 1:42.41, while the clocking of 2:37.87 for Camila Oliveira (Cerritos HS) earned the Falcons 18 team points.
McKenna also came in second place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 7:01.06, with Autumn Aragon (Whittier HS) placing second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a clocking of 15:09.59. As for Oliveira, she placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke in 3:01.42, while the time of 33.29 for Abigail Perez (Bell HS) in the 50-yard freestyle put her in second place.
